The Loop Nobody Designed
The Loop Nobody Designed
The job market right now, in one loop:
Candidates can't get responses
→ so they apply to more roles
→ so recruiters get more applications
→ so recruiters have less time per CV
→ so screening gets more automated
→ so candidates get rejected in minutes, or not at all
→ so candidates apply to even more roles
Nobody designed this. Nobody wants it. Everyone is acting rationally, and the system is still getting worse.
You don't fix a loop by asking one side to try harder
You fix it by changing what gets measured.
• Fewer applications, with more evidence behind each one.
• Faster "no"s, so people can move on.
• Hiring on what someone has done, not how well their CV matches the keywords.
Making the loop visible, one search at a time
We built a dashboard that shows what the loop looks like from inside it — one person at a time.
One real search: 737 applications. 108 employers. 10% heard back. 94 applications ignored entirely. Two interviews. Those numbers are not unusual. They're what the market looks like when you actually count.
Once you can see your own loop, you can start to break it. Fewer applications, with more evidence behind each one. Better targeting instead of more volume. A record of which employers actually reply, so you're not sending energy into the void.
Why the window matters
The dashboard works across four time windows: 30 days, 90 days, 12 months, all time. That matters more than it sounds. A company that was slow six months ago might be different now. A company that's been silent for two years is a pattern. The window you choose changes the story you see.
And because every tracker is also a data point, the numbers get stronger as more people use it. You start to see things like "this company replies to 0% of GetJobzi applicants" — not one person's bad luck, but a pattern across everyone who applied through the platform.
That's the part that changes behaviour. Not a single angry review. A hundred quiet counts that add up to something nobody can dismiss.
Break your loop
Track every application, see who replies, and stop sending energy into the void. The dashboard is free.
